Empowerment Odyssey was not created from comfort. It was born from overcoming adversity, breaking cycles, and discovering purpose through life’s greatest challenges.
For our founder, Tamekia Carter, the passion to see others rise comes from her own journey. Seasons of trauma, pain, loss, and struggle brought challenges that could have defined her future. Instead, through faith, perseverance, and a commitment to healing, those experiences became a catalyst for transformation.
Along the way, Tamekia discovered that her past did not determine her destiny. She was not defined by her circumstances, setbacks, or the labels others placed on her. There was still room to heal, grow, and embrace a greater purpose.
